About the Role
Skape is at an inflection point. We've proven product-market fit in our launch markets, and now we need someone who can pour fuel on the fire. As our Growth Marketing Manager, you'll own the entire growth engine — from top-of-funnel awareness to activation, retention, and referral.
This is not a "run some Facebook ads" role. You'll be building growth systems from scratch, running rapid experiments, and working directly with the founder to define our go-to-market strategy as we expand into new markets across the Northeast and beyond.
You'll have real budget, real autonomy, and real impact. Every dollar you spend, every campaign you launch, every experiment you run will directly move the needle on a business that's transforming how 80 million American homeowners care for their properties.
What You'll Do
- ✦Build and execute multi-channel growth strategies across paid social, SEM, SEO, email, SMS, and referral programs
- ✦Own user acquisition targets for both sides of the marketplace (homeowners and landscapers)
- ✦Design and run rapid A/B tests across landing pages, ad creative, messaging, and conversion funnels
- ✦Develop content marketing strategies including blog posts, social media, and community engagement
- ✦Build automated lifecycle marketing campaigns to drive activation, engagement, and retention
- ✦Analyze funnel metrics, cohort data, and LTV/CAC ratios to optimize spend and strategy
- ✦Manage relationships with marketing vendors, agencies, and platform reps
- ✦Create market launch playbooks for new geographic expansions
What We're Looking For
Required
- ✓4+ years in growth marketing, performance marketing, or demand generation at a startup or tech company
- ✓Proven track record of scaling user acquisition channels from scratch to significant volume
- ✓Deep expertise in at least two of: paid social (Meta/TikTok), SEM (Google Ads), SEO, or email/SMS marketing
- ✓Strong analytical skills — comfortable with SQL, Excel, and analytics tools (Mixpanel, GA4, Amplitude)
- ✓Experience with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Braze, Iterable, or similar)
- ✓Data-driven mindset with a bias toward experimentation and rapid iteration
Nice to Have
- ★Experience marketing a two-sided marketplace or on-demand service
- ★Background in home services, real estate, or local services marketing
- ★Experience with influencer marketing, partnerships, or community-led growth
- ★You've taken a product from 0→1 in terms of marketing — building the brand story from scratch
